Exchange Rates and Margin Fees

Foreign exchange rate charges will be incurred on all transactions that require funds to be converted to or from another currency. For the purposes of conversion into or from one currency or another, the exchange rate used by Direct Broking will be a midpoint rate with a currency conversion margin of an amount up to 1.50% of the purchased currency amount.

The midpoint rate is derived from wholesale buy and sell rates quoted by foreign securities exchange market participants and which are compiled by a supplier of financial market data.

The exchange rate, or rates, for a particular deposit will be those applicable at the time and date at which the deposit is made. The exchange rates displayed above are an indication of the midpoint only and are refreshed from time to time throughout the day.

Interest Rates

The currency interest rates set out above are annual interest rates, calculated daily and paid monthly.

Account holders of an Online-Multi Currency Account (OMCA) may be paid interest depending on

1. The overnight balance deposited in the account
2. The prevailing official and wholesale interest rates of each currency

Direct Broking Limited, as agent for ANZ National Bank Limited, will set interest rates. Interest rates will be guided by the official interest rate from the issuing central bank of the currency.
