Reuter’s survey
Direct Broking now provides you Thompson Reuter’s consensus opinions, often referred to as the ‘Reuters Survey’ in the press.
Consensus opinions are a statistical collation of analyst research contributors. Opinions are provided for nearly every stock
in all markets (NZ, Australia, US, UK).
It is important to understand this is only the statistical collation of opinions and they are not to be used as a recommendation.
How to find it
You can access this data from the Quotes page in the same way you access a chart. Choose Reuters on the view menu for the stock
you wish to view.
What is it?
The data is a collection of mean scores from available analyst information and annual reports. They include:
 |
Long term revenue growth
Statistical mean of analyst’s opinions of the company’s long term revenue growth prospects displayed as a percentage.
Beta
Thompson Reuter’s volatility measure for the share price compared to the benchmark market index for the market the stock
is listed on. The index is always one. A stock with a beta of more than one has been historically more volatile than the
market. A stock with a beta of less than one has been historically less volatile than the market. Price volatility is a
common indicator of risk.
Dividend yield
Calculated daily this shows the yield of the dividend against the current share price. More about Dividend yield is available here.
Earnings per share
This shows the statistical mean for the analyst prediction of the EPS for the next reporting period.
NTA share
This shows the NTA/share as calculated by Thompson Reuters based on the annual report provided by the company and the current
share price. More about NTA/share is available here.
P/E Ratio
This shows the statistical mean for the Price to Earnings ratio based on predicted earnings from all analysts.
And the rest?
