Foley Wines Limited Announces Harvest Result and Top Decanter World Wine
Award

2019 Harvest Result

Foley Wines Limited [NZX: FWL] CEO Mark Turnbull today announced that the
company has completed its harvest for the 2019 vintage. The harvest totalled
6,812 tonnes across the Marlborough and Martinborough wineries, an overall
increase of 16% on last year's harvest of 5,868 tonnes. The Mt Difficulty
winery totalled 1,492 tonnes, an overall increase of 21% for the 2019 vintage
compared with last year of 1,236 tonnes.

Mr Turnbull said "We are delighted with the harvest results in light of the
difficult conditions at the start of the growing season. The combined total
of 8,304 tonnes gives us a strong foundation to continue our growth
strategy."

Foley Wines Group Chief Winemaker Alastair Maling MW said following initial
assessment of the wines he is extremely excited about the quality from the
2019 vintage. "All three regions that Foley Wines sources fruit from -
Martinborough, Marlborough and Central Otago - feature strongly and I feel
confident the wines will continue to deliver a high standard across all
varieties. Once the early season challenges in October (frosts in
Martinborough) and a wet December which impacted on flowering in both
Martinborough and Marlborough were overcome, we experienced perfect growing
conditions. Hot and dry weather set up an ideal harvest that was even and
well spread out enabling the winemakers to pick the fruit in optimum
condition and flavour," he said.

World Wine Awards

Te Kairanga John Martin Pinot Noir 2017 has been awarded the ultimate
accolade at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London this week, being named
Best in Show with 97 Points. The world's largest and most influential wine
competition, the DWWA is trusted internationally as an unrivalled source of
wine recommendations.
At the same competition Te Kairanga Runholder Pinot Noir 2017 was awarded
Gold with 95 Points, which follows the 2015 vintage of the same wine being
named Best New Zealand Pinot Noir at the 2017 competition.
"These results are another example of delivering on our purpose - making
great wine that people love to drink around the world, and testament to the
quality of Foley Wines portfolio in New Zealand," said Foley Wines CEO Mark
Turnbull.
"Lion New Zealand is making enormous progress building our brands since being
appointed as distributor to our wider portfolio last November, and accolades
of this prestige and influence give even more momentum to our portfolio," he
said.
Earlier this month three wines in the Foley Wines portfolio were named on the

and wineries, showcasing provenance, consistency, excellence in winemaking,
and a demonstrated evolution of fine wine production.
