Setting up your account is quick and easy with the Join Direct Broking app.
The app guides you through simple steps to verify your identity, accept the terms
and conditions, and set up your account.
It takes you less than 15 minutes to complete the application process. During normal
market conditions, we will process your application within 48 hours. However, we
are receiving higher-than-normal application volumes so there may be a delay in
processing your application. We thank you in advance for your patience and look

To get started, you’ll need:
- Identification - Your New Zealand or Australian passport OR your New Zealand
- Tax details - To open an account with Direct Broking, you must provide your
New Zealand IRD number, as well as any offshore tax details you have had for the
last 12 months (such as a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) or Individual Taxpayer
Identification Number (ITIN))
If you’re a US tax resident you may need to provide additional tax details.
